Advent is a time of waiting, of preparing.  It is an exercise in patience and faith.

And as we await the anniversary of the Christ child’s birth, aren’t we really waiting on the return of our King?  {1 Thess 4:17}  The one who will say, “arise my darling, my beautiful one, come with me.”  {Song of Solomon 2:10}

Our God is not only a God of birth but of re-birth.  {Colossians 2:12, Titus 3:5, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, Romans 6:4, John 3:3}  We are waiting, sweet sisters, because He is coming.

He is coming.

He is coming.

He is coming.

And this, dear one, is our Living Hope:  That the best is yet to come.
