Treasures in Heaven

Where is your treasure stored?

I admit I love a beautiful room, beautiful flowers, the beauty of a fresh coat of paint.

But my treasure is not here on earth.

My treasure is in heaven, where it is safe with God.

My treasure in heaven, as well as yours, includes a wealth of hope.

It is true! We have hope stored for us in heaven! See Colossians 1:15.
So do not despair if you are running short on hope.
You have a treasure chest in the waiting.
God will keep it safe.

I hope this blog is a journey of all treasures, the rare and the beautiful.

But may your earthly treasures always pale in comparison to the treasure of Christ Jesus.

It is my sincere hope that I am able to share the beauty of Christ as eloquently as these photos show the beauty of the talent of God’s people and God’s creation.

From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth.

Psalm 50:2

Flowers appear on the earth;

the season of singing has come,

the cooing of doves is heard in our land.

Song of Solomon 2:12

I will give you the treasures of darkness,

riches stored in secret places,

so that you may know that I am the LORD,

the God of Israel,

who summons you by name.

Isaiah 45:3

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth,

where moth and rust destroy,

and where thieves break in and steal.

But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven,

where moth and rust do not destroy,

and where thieves do not break in and steal.

  1. True, True, True! My treasures are in heaven! Hubby and I often get in fights about this topic. I beleive the rapture is imminent and excited. Hubby on the other hand doesn’t want to leave his “treasure” the hot rod he is building. I keep telling him the God has to be his first love…but God’s gonna have to get that through to him…I can’t.

  2. Thank you for this encouraging and loving post. It’s always wonderful to be reminded of the the treasures God has given each of us.:)

    Blessings:)

  3. Thank you for your post. After a very stressful week of intense packing and numerous “issues”, we are not closing tomorrow on our new house. It is very easy to “forget” to trust in God right now and to remember my treasure indeed is in heaven. Thank you for a very timely reminder.

  4. Beautiful post – it is so easy to get caught up in our earthly treasures – especially during this financial crunch time – but as we read in Matthew – ‘who by worrying can add a single hour to their life’ thanks for the reminder!

  5. Thank you for reminding me where my priorities should lie. You are such a talented and inspirational woman.
