The Promise of Easter

I am planning an Easter Brunch for Sunday and have been looking for ideas all week to make it extra special for our company, and honestly, for myself too. This is our first Easter in the new house, and believe or not, will be our first meal in our dining room even though we have been in the house for exactly one year. We are still hunting (and saving) for a farmhouse style dining room table so the dining room has been empty and unused the past year. I plan on moving our kitchen table into the dining room for the weekend and making due celebrating in style.

Easy Tulip Display:

Simple and sweet, this pale pink tulip is nestled in the blown-out shell of a clean raw egg. (Make the hole on top just big enough to accommodate the tulip stem to keep the flower upright.) The egg is placed inside a silver napkin ring for stability, but egg cups or tiny votive holders also do the trick.

When I look back to last Easter, I can say that the whirlwind of this past year has rearranged my life in ways that I could never have forseen and for which I was not prepared. The one constant this year has been the One who has shown Himself to be, as always, in all ways, faithful to me.

I pray that His love this Easter season would stop you in your tracks and leave your jaw dropped in the glory of His magnificent presence and resurrection.

“Go, stand in the temple courts,” he said, “and tell the people the full message of this new life.” Acts 5:20

  1. Lovely photos and arrangements, and none of them look too difficult to do on your own. I think your guests will feel more than welcome!

    Thank you for sharing!

  2. Great inspiration pics!! Easter means so much more to us Christians! It is sad so many think it’s about the Easter Bunny. Have a Blessed Day! Hey stop by my blog today and donate a bible for FREE to persecuted Christians.

  3. LOVED IT! LOVE YOU!!! Seriously, everything on your blog is just gorgeous.
Come decorate my house. I think you need to go back to school to be an interior designer.
I know a place where you can get a table… here in Chattanooga! Come visit.

  4. I agree– celebrating our Lord and savior is the best part about Easter 🙂 I love the blue egg decor– and by the way– I just saw some great green moss over at pottery barn earlier in the week that would be perfect for creating that moss table runner
