Rate My Space: Fall Dinner Party

Just look at these amazing photos from HGTV’s Rate my Space! The owner of this beautiful dining room said she was inspired to throw a fall dinner party after finding this dining table, which seats 12, for $29.00 at a thrift store!

Absolutely beautiful!
All of the blue and aqua in my house has been holding me back from doing much fall decorating-these images are inspiring though . . . I’m off to see how I can successfully marry aqua and blue with browns and oranges . . .

  1. Wow those are gorgeous, and make me want to add some more fall decorations to the house. I saved those pictures for inspiration!

  2. Ps…you can do a lot of decorating for fall with non traditional but still fallish colors. Like white pumpkins, silver, creams, tans, and golds. The header on my blog is my mantle this year, if you want to take a look. I wanted more natural colors, instead of bright oranges and reds.

  3. Yes, what fabulous pics! WOW! And an incredible table for $29! Now that WOULD inspire one to do something off the charts! (And don’t you love the chairs, too?)

I think you should be able to mix some browns and oranges and golds into your turquoise and blue wonderfully, and I’ll be waiting to see just how you do it!

    Grins!

  4. Blue and Brown are the colors in my living room πŸ™‚ and if you’re a Gator fan blue and & orange supposidly go together-but i have yet to convert.

I say do some chocolate browns with some nice gold….that would look lovely with aqua/blue.

  5. Are you familiar with life:beautiful magazine? It is a wonderful publication – http://www.lifebeautifulmagazine.com ! The holiday issue that just came out (you might be able to find it at WalMart)has a beautiful Thanksgiving table with brown and aqua, galvanized buckets, etc. Definitely not your traditional fall decor, but it is stunning. Let me know if you would like me to scan the pictures and send them to you.

  6. wonderful! wow! what thrift store does she shop at! i cant wait to see what you do! i need a good idea!

  7. Wow, that’s one beautiful thrift store table. You know, you could just go with brown and white, those would look fabulous with the aqua and blue, and white pumpkins are quite popular!

  8. Orange and brown go perfectly with aqua. That is a gorgeous table setting. I am looking at the mantle and thinking maybe I should change my mantle now. haha

  9. It’s beautiful! And for $29, it’s my kind of decor, lol! Hope you are feeling well and had a great weekend!!

  10. So gorgeous… I think the twinkle lights on the mantle and the lanterns galore make it so warm. Lighting… overlooked so many times, I think. πŸ™‚

  11. Great pic! Wow, what a deal! I think that aqua and pale blues can work with orange/burnt oranges and incorporate some dark chocolate browns and creams. That would be a beautiful mix especially with the orange as a complimentary color to the blue. πŸ™‚

Pale blues can work well with cream and red to for Christmas, sounds like you’ve got it covered!

I hope they’ll be some photos, would love to see them!
