Eye Candy . . errrr Cupcakes and Baby Weight

Let’s talk baby weight.

I have a bit left.

It has been given an eviction notice. It has overstayed its welcome.

The Plan? As much exercise as possible and eating clean. If you’re not familiar with the phrase “eating clean” it is so simple: eat the foods that God designed! Example: all fruits, all vegetables, all whole grains, lean meat, leafy greens. Things God did not design: pretty much anything that comes in a box, in a bag, or comes with a list of ingredients longer than 3-4 things. I am doing 95% of my grocery shopping at the farmers market. As far as exercise goes, I have been loving Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred and my evening jogs at dusk.

Let’s talk about the picture above. It is of the store Enjoy Cupcakes in California (spotted here). I am drooling more over the room than the cupcakes. Surely this is good news for Project Adios Baby Weight?

Yum.

  1. I am with you on the baby weight! I don’t know how old your baby is, but mine is …um… almost 2 YEARS old! So, my baby weight has WAY over-stayed its welcome 😉

    Good luck!!!

  2. Oooh, what a gorgeous room! You’re right, drooling over the cupcakes came second to drooling over the rest of the space.

Good luck with your health routine. I have a few (20?!) pounds of “baby” weight left over…2.5 yrs later….that I could stand to lose. Hmmmm.

  3. I love a good cupcake. But lately I’ve stayed away from chocolate, sweets and anything sugary. I’m trying to break the addiction. 😉

I am a big fan of clean eating and organic produce too. I had to laugh, I just did an etiquette post on how not to overstay your welcome as a guest. I’ve never thought of it when it comes to weight, but it’s so true! LOL.

I’m going to have to check out that video. Jillian is awesome!

  4. Good for you Erin! I have the Shred DVD and need to get it out upon our return from vacation. All this eating out is no exactly diet friendly!!

  5. I am fairly new to blogs and I realllly enjoy yours! I have been eating “clean” for a month now and have shed 11 pounds! You can do it! My “babies” are 14 and 16, so at 50, if I can do it this far out, you should do wonderfully!! Praying for you!

  6. Hi Erin!
i hopped over from Layla’s site to find some pics of your gorgeous bedroom. Then, I read your post.
i’ve never dealt with baby weight- but I know exactly what you’re talking about with ‘eating clean’ and the 30 Day Shred. I lost 10 pounds last year using the 30 Day Shred and a similar eating plan. You can do it!!
OK, now off to find the pic of your bedroom. I want to board and batten our guest room and love the look of yours. Thanks!
