Beautiful, Beautiful Spring

I’m already itching for the spring re-opening of our local farmers’ market. I still have another full month of waiting and wishing . . . do you frequent your local farmers’ market? While I love to pick up fresh fruit for pie and veggies for salads and the grill, my favorite thing to pick up at the farmers’ market is fresh flowers.

From the first peonies of spring to the last sunflowers of Indian Summer, the famers’ market is the perfect place to pick up seasonal flowers to make beautiful centerpieces like the ones below. These photos are so inspiring. I’m already dreaming of a lovely spring dinner party.

Be inspired!

I love the quilted place mat in this photo, below.

This photo, below, would be even more beautiful if a chandelier replaced that ceiling fan.

It’s Friday! It’s spring! How can you not be smiling?

Beautiful.

  1. The colours, the light! I’m in love with all those pictures. Who needs to buy decorating magazines, when they’ve got you! I’m pulling up all the blinds tomorrow, washing the windows, and letting the light shine in! Hopefully, when I do the grocery shop they will have some beautiful flowers like these and I’ll be able to give my house a spring lift! Thanks for your inspiring post! Wendy

  2. Love all of the photos… can’t wait to have some fresh flowers in my house. I love going to the farmer’s market here in Alabama… Have a great weekend.

  3. Love the fresh flowers. I saw Tulips in the store today along with daisies and hydrangeas! So beautiful

  4. I can hardly wait until our Farmers Market reopens. I was just driving along the other day and remembered it, I guess I let it slip my mind through the winter. We should recipe swap, with our farmers market goodies!

    Cheers!
