Meet my talented friend Kristen and her husband Andrew.
Kristen, Andrew and I went to law school together. We bonded in law school over our love for decorating and all things creative.
After three arduous years we all graduated together!!!! After graduation, Kristen and Andrew flew the mid-west coop for warmer coastal weather and they now make their home on the North Carolina coast.
They bought this beautiful bungalow near the water that I am proud to be able to share. The distressed wood paneling throughout the house, such as the wainscotting in the kitchen, is wood that was original the exterior of the home, and is distressed to show the many layers of paint that the house wore over the years-such character!
Aside from being an attorney, Kristen started and runs her own cupcake business out of her kitchen, called Short Cake. Delicious!!
Cupcakes AND a beach bungalow-be still my heart.
Thanks, Kristen and Andrew for letting us drool over your beautiful charming beach bungalow!
The new blog format looks amazing! Thanks for featuring my little home! 🙂 kh
OMG I looove it all! What an adorable bungalow!
Love the new look! And that fabulous beach bungalow… and cupcakes!!!
Wow, what a tour!!! She’s like a regular Martha Stewart…and lawyer? Oh my!
Love those jars on her table runner. I wonder where she got those.
These pretty pics brightened my night. Love to see creativity like that.

Wow! She’s a regular Martha…and lawyer? What a combo.
Loved this post, seeing all the creativity was inspiring. And those jars on the runner? Where did she find them?
Good stuff.
Super cute! Can you find out where she got that zebra rug in the entryway???
I LOVE cupcakes! Wow, cupcakes, a decorator and a lawyer? What a talented gal on the go! 😉
What an adorable cottage! I’m actually in the process of selecting paint colors for my living room and had originally wanted to do a pale blue, but was afraid it wouldn’t look right with our dark brown leather sofas. The photo of her living room proved me wrong– looks fantastic! Would she mind sharing the paint color?
That house is to die for. I would go visit and never leave! 🙂
LOVE YOUR BLOG, AND WOULD LOVE TO FOLLOW.
