After college, Abby went home to Connecticut, married Ned, had her precious baby (seriously, look at this little guy!!!!!!), and purchased a darling Cape near the water in Milford, Connecticut. They undertook a serious renovation of their home before moving in, check out the before and afters on this now picture-perfect 1940s Cape.

No before photos here, but the daring dark navy walls give this room its name: “the blue room.” 🙂 Paint color is Hale Navy by Benjamin Moore.
I LOVE the white-washed wide plank wood floors in this room-and I’m the only one who is a fan of this look.

Thanks Abby, Ned, and Ben . . . we love you guys!!!
What a great transformation of this Connecticut cape! I have friends and family who live in CT. as well and I have always been jealous of all the cute little capes up there! In the south everything is supersized! Love your blog!
What a gorgeous home! I love the kitchen and the office with the white floors! And what a cutie their Ben is…I think all Bens are adorable. 🙂
Abby’s house looks great! The kitchen is an especially amazing rennovation. And the blue room– I love the combo of the dark blue walls against the bright white floors, furniture, and draperies. Just beautiful!
And Ben–what a little doll! She’s one very lucky girl! 🙂
Well…Thankfully they werent the same Edwards, LOL! She has a beautiful home and a beautiful lil boy!!
Whoever did this remodel clearly has an excuisite eye for interior decoration. Does she work professionally? If not she really should.
i am rarely EVER an envious person- it’s one of my finer traits that i don’t covet..but, but! that last picture makes my stomach yearn…to live with our children on the water like that!
Wow! Abby did a great job in her house. I adore the blue room and have an idea in my head that is similar for my future house. thanks for posting this, esp the picture of Ben with the little blazer on- way too cute!
Wow!!! Everything is beautiful— the house, the mommy, you, the baby boy!!
The frame on the couch is a 12X12.
Sure, try and sell some on your blog so I can have some mad money in NY!
Love you, Erin!!
Abby’s Conncecticut friend Christine, here. You did such a nice job on this post. You really captured Abby. She has great taste, doesn’t she? In decorating AND friends!
