The Best-Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies

Mmmmm . . .

where to start with this chocolate chip cookie recipe?

I have been making these cookies for six years.Β  The recipe came from my foodie-friend Katie.Β  They are so good that I have never, in six years, been tempted to make a different chocolate chip cookie.

I once took a batch to the office to share with my fellow lawyers and one of them asked me if they had fairy dust in them.

They are just that good.

Slightly crisp on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, they bake up puffy and bakery-pretty.

But don’t take my word for it, try them for yourself!

Β Enjoy!

  1. Yum … those do look good!

Your kitchen is cute. I like seeing that vintage countertop and stove. I think my bathroom counter might match. πŸ˜‰

  2. I think anything would taste good coming out of that delightful oven (and with such a cute helper!).

  3. These sound absolutely delightful.

(And 12 tablespoons of butter translates to fairy dust.)

    Will be trying these…possibly today!

Thanks for giving us beauty for our eyes–and bellies– to enjoy.

    • True that, Ginny πŸ™‚ Although for the whole recipe, it is just a stick and a half, less than the usual 2 sticks of butter a lot of recipes call for . . . which means you can eat twice as many.

  4. Yum! They look so delicious (and your son is adorable)! I’ll have to try the recipe and see if the cookies still puff up for me at high altitude! Thanks!

  12. Okay, you know how you have to taste the cookies when they are hot, and then when they have cooled, and then the next morning to make sure that they still have a good texture and flavor? Well, I did all that and they passed every test with flying colors! This will go in my “best ever” file! My husband who has sworn off chocolate ate two! Thank you for sharing your treasure.:)
