Priceless.

Time in which I have been married to Mr. Marvelous: 6 years, 7 months, and 7 days.

Time in which I’ve been daydreaming about having a baby with Mr. Marvelous:

(at least) 6 years, 7 months, and 7 days.

Time since we were told we might not be able to have children of our own: 1 year, 4 months, and 10 days.

Having a God who answers prayers and exceeds my wildest dreams: PRICELESS.

For this child I prayed;

and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him:

1 Samuel 1:27

We are exceedingly joyful to announce that Baby Marvelous is due in March!!!!

(And that plans for the nursery are already underway! πŸ™‚ )

  3. Erin, I really enjoy your blog and am thrilled of this news. My sister in law went through infertility problems as well. It took them 2 and 1/2 years but now they have been blessed with a baby girl. The Lord is good. He does listen to cries of His people. Praise Him!

Now since the rest of your house looks amazing I can only imagine how wonderful the nursery will look. Can’t wait to see all that unfolds. But remember to take it easy and enjoy and chronicle the pregnancy – it is one of the best rides you will ever be on.

  9. Erin,

What a precious blessing. I’m sure that you are both incredibly thankful (and prayerful) these last few months. God is a wonderful provider in his own time, and I’m so thankful you were patient with him. You are a wonderful blogger, and, I’m sure, a wonderful woman (in “real” life), and I just know that you will be wonderful parents to this new little one. I will pray that your pregnancy is a safe and happy one. Congratulations on this amazing miracle!

  13. Oh my goodness – what WONDERFUL news! God is SOOOO good, and I am so excited for you and Mr. Marvelous. I look forward to your posts about pregnancy and the nursery. But most of all, I look forward to the post you make after the first time you get to hold that precious miracle in your arms. I just had a baby five weeks ago today, and holding him for the first time (and every time after that) exceeded anything I ever could have imagined. You will love being a mom. It is a blessing that is indescribable in so many ways. =) CONGRATULATIONS!

  20. Erin
Congratulations, I’m so happy for you! I love your blog, thanks so much for sharing your talents with us. You will be in my prayers for a safe and healthy pregnancy and baby. My birthday is in March too πŸ™‚

  21. Congratulations! We struggled for over 4 years with fertility issues but were blessed with two beautiful boys. And so begins a new phase in your lives together ~~and your home’s life too πŸ˜‰

  22. God is good! congratulations! how wonderful! i am blessed with two sweet and healthy children! i am happy for you!

  23. Well, I must agree in the Lord “all things are possible for him who believes” Mark 9:23. I too prayed for a baby for 12 years!! We were told by many doctors that we would never have biological children. Maya Grace is now 13 months old!!! Praise God! She is the most amazing thing ever and she’s “ours”. Your blog is so beautiful and peaceful. You are so incredibly gifted with decorating, etc. Your story is encouraging and I just felt (especially after reading the other comments) that I needed to share my testimony. God created us…He put those desires in our hearts for a reason. Being a mother is the best thing in the world. And for all your followers who are desperately praying for “their miracle” I say, “Don’t give up, God hears your prayers. He is sufficient and His will for us is perfect.”
    Be blessed today.

  24. CONGRATULATIONS!! I am so happy for you!
Oh, the sweet moments you have ahead!!

  25. Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!!! I am so excited for you; you must be beside yourself! And you’ve been wondering what we’d like you to blog about. This, exactly this. Wendy xx

  26. What a true blessing! I noticed how in love with your nephews you were, and wondered why you didn’t have children yet. So glad you have now received the gift of motherhood! Take care of yourself.

  27. OH my goodness! Congratulations! Heavenly Father really does answer our prayers. . . maybe not right when we imagine that it will happen, but in due time!

  28. Congrats Erin! Wow, what a great testimony to share with the blogging community and frustrated women who hope to conceive! πŸ™‚ I wholeheartedly agree with everything that Tara mentioned above also. I believe that when we have a pure desire in our heart for something, God will honor it. But it is always in His timing and not ours. He plans things more perfectly than we ever could for ourselves.

Blessings on you and your family!

  29. Erin,
Congratulations to you and Mr. Marvelous! How incredibly joyful you must be. The Lord does surprise one in the most unusual ways sometimes. God Bless to you all. Made my day! Thanks.
    J~

  30. Congratulations!! I love reading your blog and I can’t wait to see what you do with the nursery. You guys seem so great with your nephews and you will have so much fun with your own!

  31. Your words on this blog have blessed me on several occasions.
So I was so happy to read that you have been blessed with such wonderful news!
    Congratulations!

  32. Congrats on the baby, love the verse, same 1 I came across when I found out I was pregnant with Aidan, 12 years after our 1st son. By the way, we also have a new farmhouse, wanted old but built. Your foyer looks like mine, stairs go up the same way, same wall with the shelf, and the door that goes under the stairs or the basement if you have 1.

  33. Oh Erin… from one who has not been able to keep a pregnancy, but has been blessed with two precious miracles… CONGRATS! Praise God for His mercy and bountiful blessings! I am so happy for you… and the baby who will have the coolest nursery in town for sure!

  34. Erin,
I still remember my dad taking your wedding pictures! My how time flies! You’re going to be one of those pregnant women that are absolutely adorable and then in March you’ll have a stinkin’ cute baby. Nothing but happiness and joy for the both of you!

    Congrats!
    Lesa

  35. Praise the Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!! And praise the Lord I don’t have to keep the secret any more!
Shout it from the rooftops- GOD IS GOOD.
    Love you so much.
    Baby Marvelous is so blessed.
If it is a boy, you could name him Marv. πŸ™‚
    Or Marvette?
YAY! YAY! YAY! You made it to the promised land!

  36. WHat a blessing! Motherhood is the best and I can see you are going to be a wonderful mom. What an auntie you are! Congratulations…Your blog is beautiful and so encouraging. God always has a perfect plan, doesn’t he?

  37. Congratulations on your beautiful news and your blog is beautiful. It feels very peaceful here. Thank you.

  38. LOVE this beautiful post! So HAPPY for you! I have three of my own, the youngest being 3 months and there is nothing, nothing, nothing like having a baby! Congratulations…God is good!

  39. I ran across your blog today and I don’t even know you, but I am exceedingly joyful that you and Mr. Marvelous will get to enjoy parenthood. Being labelled for 7 years as an infertile couple, my then husband and I chose to adopt. Most amazing experience EVER!

  41. WOWZA! I am catching up on all of my blog reading because I am SO BEHIND. I know I am super late to be commenting on this but I just had to say congrats! My Honey and I had a to wait longer than we would have liked to start a family. But now we have three precious little dumplins running around making our home a circus – and I love every minute of it.

    Congrats to you! God Bless.

  42. Oh my gosh Erin! I just read this now. You seem like the most wonderful, beautiful, mother! I’m so happy for you! I can’t imagine waiting that long. That is such a blessing. Now you have 2 precious babies. Miracles really do happen. I love this story, and I’m so glad you got to be a mom. God knew that you would be wonderful at it!
